Chart Bite - Sunday June 14th 2009
All change at the top of the singles chart this week as the terrifyingly young and needless to say incredibly talented Pixie Lott flies to the top with her first ever single 'Mama Do'. The record is the product of several years of patient development for the 18 year old, who signed her first management deal at the tender age of 14.
On the album chart it is the turn of Kasabian who fly to the summit with their third album 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum', home to their current hit single 'Fire'.
The chart this week actually features some quite extraordinary happenings, things that are comparatively rare but by no means unknown. Full details are in Chart Watch UK on Monday morning.

The chart bite should be scrapped altogether, and just keep the usual weekly blog updated on a Monday morning, as over the last two months hardly anyone has bothered putting any comments on it.
Also, in the past, there were ocassions when the weekly chart blog was updated on a Sunday night.
