Kanye Arrested After Nightclub Fracas

Hip-Hop luminary Kanye West was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning following a confrontation with a photographer. The rapper was thought to be arrested for assault but was later released without charge.
The incident happened outside the Tup Tup Palace cocktail bar in Newcastle which West had visited after playing a gig at the city's Metro Arena.
A spokesmen for the police said "We can confirm that a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident at a Newcastle city centre nightclub in the early hours of this morning. He was released without charge and no further police action is being taken."
