Lily's Cocaine Controversy

Posted Wed 7 Jan 2009 12:36PM GMT by Mitch Carter in The Guestlist
Never one to shy away from controversy, Lily Allen has become embroiled in a fresh storm after apparently giving the green light to cocaine use.

Speaking to Word magazine the Allen said:

"The only story is that drugs are bad and they will kill you - you will become a prostitute, a rapist or a dealer. But that's not true."

"I know lots of people that take cocaine three nights a week and get up and go to work everyday, no problem at all."

"But we never hear that side of the story. I have no statement to make, I just wish people wouldn't sensationalise this thing that just exists."

Long-term cocaine use can cause heart disease, heart attacks, respiratory failure, strokes, and gastrointestinal problems whilst the effects of cocaine production range from environmental damage to effects on health and education.
