Moby - Wait For Me / Pale Horses

Posted Mon 22 Jun 2009 3:15PM BST by Mitch Carter in The Guestlist

Electronic pioneer Moby, is set to return with his ninth studio album Wait For Me, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2008's Last Night.

Considered to be a radical departure from Moby's recent albums which utilised state-of-the-art studios, Wait For Me was recorded in Moby's home studio in New York.

"I recorded the album here in my studio on the lower east side (although 'studio' always seems like an overly grand word for a bunch of equipment set up in a small bedroom). In the past I've worked in large and small studios, but for this record I wanted to record everything at home by myself," says Moby.

"I don't know if anyone's going to like this record, I don't know if it's going to sell anything, but it's nice to try to do things for the right reasons and not give a second thought to radio play or sales - just make a record because you want to make a record."

You can listen to Brazilian producer Gui Boratto's magnificent take on one of the albums stand out tracks Pale Horses below or visit for Moby.com for more details.
