Mitch and Janis Winehouse have unveiled a life size waxwork of their daughter Amy at London wax museum Madame Tussauds today.

Mitch Winehouse, described the waxwork as being "absolutely incredible" adding "I can't get over the tattoos. They are perfect."

"She has two or three more live gigs then she will be working on her new album. She's got quite a few songs already."

Whilst she might be a good artist, I see why she should be honoured particularly in light of her dsyfunctional behaviour.

maybe whoever made this decision should go to REHAB !

What a disgrace, how can anyone display this complete waste of space to the public, no wonder we are facing so many problems in our society if we condone and parade this persons lifestyle and expect people to pay for the privelige.

anyone got a blow torch handy???

Its dumbass parents like this who are the reason we have such junkies growing up in our communities. You can possibly imagine what amy's parents would consider as absolute [profane] if they consider that "amy is model daughter". So in their world how low you would have to sink before they consider a disgrace.

Her parents belong to a generation of slime balls that should never have been allowed to have kids!

She's a brilliant singer and songwriter. The waxwork looks ace, love the dress too!

In reply to arker1934 - I fear for any kid who thinks that they are commending her for her drug problems!! Kids aren't that stupid!!

Whilst I agree that she doesn't deserve a waxwork and I have no respect for her whatsoever, why is everyone so quick to jump on the back of those that fall? Society is so quick to criticise in such a vicious way and allows no margin for error. Are any of us perfect. Besides I don't think she requested it herself, so criticise her partents and Madame Tussauds. And for the record I'm also not a fan of her music either, but she's still a human being!

why didn't they do a true waxwork of her lying on the floor with a syringe in her hand, that would show the world what this low-life is like. she deserves to be in the house of horrors

172. A Realist -
What a waist of money, she is a total waister of life, people try and help her but she throws it back in there face, she's a smackhead [profane] bust, and she's RANK!

Do you know what? I think she does deserve it. Okay, so she's still a bit off the rails but she is a cracking musician and was absolutely amazing at T in the Park. I just hope she does get down to doing some work on a new album. Just what she needs. To be kept busy and to be left alone by the media.

What dose all this credit and awards show our chilren?....that it is really ok and cool to take drugs and abuse people?!! Get her off our screens and stages, out of the papers and let her get herself sorted (or kill) herself! Our children should see that drugs and bad living is punished NOT awarded!

People who support these drug infested morons need help as well. The celeb circus is a joke and buying records, magazines that feature these cretins is like throwing money in a drain.Winehouse is not alone and is supported by friends and a jailed husband who are as despicable as she is.Time that there was a reality check and look at the unfortunate people in poor countries who starve on a regular basis.

177. amy -
ok so she does coke........but why do people keep talking about her having a Syringe in her arm (thats heroin) the people slagging her off obviously havent got a clue what their on about. and as for her "not being a good role model for your kids" well thats your job as their parents, not the responsibility of a celebrity.....good if your not blaming schools, telly, society your now having a crack at a singer! at the end of the day your kids arnt goin to look to anybody to set an example more then they would look to thier parents, so why dontcha try taking some responibility for raising them yourselves.
If it where a fat 40 year old male drug addict then half of these comments wouldnt be up here as nobody would be jelous of how good he looked so putting him down wouldnt make you sad small minded people feel any better
