"What are they doing with my magic frame?"

Posted Thu 9 Oct 2008 3:52PM BST by Mitch Carter in The Guestlist
We've almost been left speechless by Dustin McLean's literal take on A-ha's seminal music video ‘Take On Me'.

Dispensing with the song's original lyrics but keeping the original melody, Dustin proceeds to describe the video in minute detail.

It makes for astounding viewing. Don't miss the chase scene about 2 minutes in - "What are they doing with my magic frame?". Brilliant!

Forget this one. The hilarious remake of the video was in Family Guy with Chris being pulled into the video after the sketchy hand appears among milk cartons in a supermarket...

Good "alternative" vid (but not spectacular - there are funnier ones on Youtube).

The ending suggests they fall in love, get married and live happily ever after - a dream come true.

In reality, they probably discovered they were totally incompatible with each other - but only after terrible howling arguments, much innuendo about each other, recrimination and rife unhappiness, leading to a long, drawn-out and unpleasant divorce battle that had to go as far as court to settle it and even then both parties walking away unhappy and with little positives, if any, to gain from the bad experience.
