Leon Jackson vs Peter Kay
Posted Fri 17 Oct 2008 2:10PM BST by Mitch Carter in The Guestlist
The gloves are off in an epic chart battle which sees X Factor winner Leon Jackson going head to head with comedian Peter Kay in the race to the top of the singles chart. Leon's single Don't Call This Love is up against Peter Kay's X-Factor send-up, The Winner's Song, written by Gary Barlow.
According to reports, this week's running is extremely tight, with pop superstar Pink also in the frame to retain her current no.1 ‘Who Knew'. It is thought that there are only a few hundred sales separating the three acts.

Leon told the Daily Star: "My single has gone up to No 2 in the midweek charts. I'm so proud. If it stays in that position come Sunday I'll crack open the Irn-Bru and do a little dance around the living room."
Peter Kay and Gary Barlow are also set to release a Chrismas single, Once Upon A Christmas Song, going head to head with the X-Factor once again.
Who do you think should win the chart battle? Watch the videos below and have your say.

The X-factor is boring and commercialised, it is all over the same nonsense, boooring!!
It is a money making scheme(premium rate numbers) which they are using ruthlessly.
so is peter kays but i prefer leon
Peter Kay all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leons' is far more superior. At least its recognised that he's a good singer to have gotten where he is. Keep it up Leon. Congrats.
but leon's song, whether you like him or not, whether you like x factor or not, is a genuinely good song
so therefore get Peter,,err i mean Geraldine to number 1
