Has your life been influenced by a popsong?

Posted Fri 20 Jun 2008 1:52PM BST by Neil Cossar in This Day In Music

Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was number one on the day we were born.

Here are some examples of songs that were No.1 on the day they were born:

On the day Heather Mills was born Hello Goodbye by The Beatles was at No.1 in the UK. (and look what happened to Heather!).

Amy Winehouse had Red Red Wine by UB40

Pete Doherty – Tragedy by The Bee Gees

Kate Moss - You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me - New Seekers

Diana, Princess of Wales - Runaway by Del Shannon

Carla Bruni - Let The Heartaches Begin - Long John Baldry

Paris Hilton – Shaddap You Face - Joe Dolce

Amir Khan - The Final Countdown - Europe

David Camaron - Distant Drums - Jim Reeves

Jeremy Clarkson - My Old Man's A Dustman - Lonnie Donegan

My number 1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK
And 'Ben' by Michael Jackson is Australia.

I've have been told I'm rather Vain, I did once have long hair, (but not in Liverpool) and me Dad's called Ben. so it works!!

Is it wrong for a woman to have a sugar daddy?? It is an absolutely extramarital relationship, but more and more services come out on Internet focusing on this kind of relationship, such as ...Seekingsugar.com

my number 1 songs are 'seven tears' by the
Goombay Dance band, 'one day at a time'
by the legendary lena martell and 'do the
gonga' by the now sadly defunct black lace.
all these songs are deeply spiritual for me.

I was born on a hot June day, many years ago, with a thunderstorm happening. The song then was ' My knapsack on my back'sung by some children from Germany. Can't say it inspired me!John Lennon singing 'I am the Walrus'was more of an influence, made me think a bit more deeply, but then Bob Dylan opened up my mind more.

I Am The Walrus is one of my all time fave songs. I hated the Oasis version!
