It can be very difficult to keep up with the slings and arrows and hearts and kisses of 21st century music. For example, Lily Allen is known to fall-out with at least one pop star mate per week on average. None of us currently know where she/we stand on Katy Perry, who it seems emerged from a US record label's photo-copier (albeit with bigger boobs and a thinner waist, big mount intact) earlier this year and was programmed to immediately trash her "fat" rival. Well, it looks like Lilly is about to execute some out-of-the-box ninja-style reverse pop psychology by befriending Britney Spears.

This weekend, former producer and long-running ally Mark Ronson aired her previously unreleased, hush hush and pretty good version of "Womanizer" on his radio show in America. Inevitably it was picked-up on the all seeing online wires, prompting Lilly to defend her private studio antics. "Now some of you may be wondering why I covered ‘Womanizer', simple really. I love Britney and I love the song", she explained, reasonably, almost certainly confirming plans to carry out a stunning rear offensive on Perry.

However, on her blog she continued: "It wasn't my intention for it to have whizzed round the world like it has. Mark Ronson asked me for something no one had heard to play on his radio show and ‘Womanizer' was the only song I had as an attachment on my Blackberry and I couldn't get home to send him anything else in time. I had asked him to talk all over it so it wouldn't get ripped, but he didn't. Thanks Mark for getting me in serious trouble with my record company." So, hang on. Now Lily loves Britney but hates Ronson?! Famethrowa can't keep up. Come on love, chill out. It's Christmas!!!
