Ian Brown has made some pretty bold declarations over the years. "I am the resurrection" he announced back in 1989, to universal surprise. A few years later he was at it again, using The Stone Roses' comeback single "Love Spreads" to inform us that "The messiah is my sister", which brings to mind so many questions it's understandable they don't want to get back together. More recently, Ian has attempted to suggest that dolphins were, in fact, monkeys, a theory that even David Icke might consider rather barmy.

Well, Ian's new single, "Just Like You", sees the full-on realisation of all this fantastical madness, with the Manc messiah putting down his fog-horn for five minutes and floating about the sky like he's auditioning for the role of The Great Soprendo's sidekick. As if all the levitating (courtesy of Brown's magician friend Dynamo) wasn't enough, we must also marvel at how the great man dances on the spot with that tambourine. Truly, he must be God! Oh her brother, at the very least...
