Kanye Loves Oasis

The Manc rock titans unveiled the promo to their new single this week. "Falling Down" was directed by famed pop film-maker Wiz and has sparked a modicum of controversy for its supposedly anti-Royalist sentiments. The clip centres around an imaginary figure within the monarchy, who lives the high life and has the dubious pleasure of meeting Noel and Liam at an awards ceremony. They snub her, which is probably what most of would expect from them anyway. This has prompted a spokesman for Oasis to insist this doesn't actually mean they want the Queen and all her little corgis to be done away with.
"The video is director Wiz's vision and is not directly related to the song", he explained, adding: "Only Wiz knows what the story is but themes around fame, celebrity and secret lives are clearly part of his inspiration." Well Kanye is truly bowled over and was moved to announce this fact on his blog, where he posted the promo and confessed: "Sometimes I see videos and it breaks my heart that there are so few outlets for vids these days". Noel today revealed that a "monumental" 22-minute (yes, that's nearly half an hour) remix of the track is in the pipeline. Let's just hope Kanye doesn't get wind of it. Famethrowa fears it could tip him over the edge.
