All is well and happy in the house of Madonna now, it seems. Freshly shorn of ex husband Guy Ritchie and his obsessive motors'n'shooters work/life balance, the pop superstar looks to have found the perfect romantic replacement with her hunky new boyfriend. Although Brazilian model Jesus Luz is not quite the chosen one, he is certainly very handsome and at 22-years-old basically young enough to be her son if not God's.

However, not everyone is thrilled by the 50-year-old's new-found joy. Animal rights organisation PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have crowned Madonna the Worst Dresser of 2009, because she apparently continues to wear fur despite the obvious backlash against popular culture figures doing so in recent years. Kanye West, the Olsen twins and Maggie Gyllenhaal were also named and shamed in the new survey, but it is Ms Ciccone that is on the receiving end of the (ahem) lion's share of their wrath.

"When you see Madonna in fur, you realise why nobody has copied her style since 1984. We know that she's on the prowl for a young cub, but someone needs to tell Madge that wearing fur doesn't make you a cougar", said PETA, announcing the news. She is yet to comment on the award but it does seem bizarre she continues to embrace a lifestyle so barbaric. Pink agrees, judging by a new ad campaign from the group, which sees her and Ricky Gervais as a crocodile and rabbit who have had enough and are ready to fight back.
