Are Spandau Still Gold?

Rumours about the return of Spandau Ballet have been circulating for some months, despite the fact that a decade ago the group were entangled in a bitter High Court case. Back in 1999, Tony Hadley, Steve Norman and John Keeble sued Gary Kemp for £1 million over songwriting royalties and lost. All this is expected to be swept aside on Wednesday, when the five-piece host a press conference on the HMS Belfast in London, scene of their original launch 30 years ago, to announce plans for a world tour and new music.
Lead singer Hadley today confirmed the news, telling fans: "The boys are back in town and we can't wait. It's going to be brilliant, we're very excited, but it will be very different. There will be all the hits, the nostalgia, but there will also be a new take on what Spandau Ballet are about." The tour is expected to see the band, all now in their late forties, lumber through their back catalogue, concluding with a show at the epic Nou Camp football stadium in Barcelona. Personally, I'd rather see Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o having a kickabout than this latest pop farce. If you really must remember them, do it like this...
