Simpsons Love Susan

It is the ultimate accolade in popular culture, normally reserved for the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger. Well, amazingly, Susan Boyle has now joined this elite group of music stars to grace the screens of "The Simpsons". Admittedly, the West Lothian "Britain's Got Talent" singing sensation does not actually appear in the upcoming episode. Rather Homer can be seen auditioning for Simon Cowell and telling him: "My dream is to be a great singer like Susan Boyle."

It was only a couple of months ago that no-one had even heard of her but that's all changed now, following a similar namecheck on fellow US cartoon "South Park" and a recent appearance on Oprah Winfrey's chat show. Speaking about this latest honour, Boyle's brother Gerry said: "She does watch the show and she will be chuffed to bits to get a mention, I'm sure." Her appearance in The Simpsons video extra, "Springfield's Got Talent", is part of the show's 20th anniversary season and can be seen right here...

well in sorry but i think she is just a fraud,she already recorded a cd back in 1999 and obviously never made it and now she is going for it again by using the public making out she has never done it before,its not fair to other contestants,get rid,she is good you cant fault that but why try and con the pulic

No matter what else has been said-everyone one thought the unattrative old woman going to be [profane]! But she was great, FAN F#@*ING TASTIC ,YOU GO GIRL.I had tears in my eyes and a great emotional outpour as I watched. You made all of these losers like Simon Cowell and those of his mindset not only in the audience but across the world regain respective on what is TRULY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Doubtless she did record a cd in 1999 which didnt have a good sale.

Susan Boyle does have a good singing voice and I am sure she will prove to be popular in the relevant niche market, as all known good singers are destined to be. Whether or not she wins is a matter of voting but should she not win, I am fairly sure she will benefit from the show by having a singing career to embrace should she wish to pursue it, after the show has concluded.
