Has Axl Gone Mad?

Posted Thu 11 Jun 2009 3:30PM BST by Johnny Famethrowa in Touching The Void
Madness and rock'n'roll go hand-in-hand. Just look at the photos of an imprisoned Phil Spector released today, minus his wig and looking very much minus his mind. Axl Rose has surely been on the brink of bonkersdom for many years, considering it took him 15 to put together the universally panned and commercially dead "Chinese Democracy". Well, the latest news to reach us from the Hollywood Hills is that Axl's behaviour has become ever more erratic, with the singer reportedly firing and then hiring his manager three times just this month.

Rose
's tempestuous relationship with Irving Azoff is said to have been tested by plans to re-promote Guns N' Roses' latest lame duck to the world. "Axl doesn't want anything to do with it. He won't come out of his house", a source told the New York Daily News. Which makes it rather difficult to push a record, let alone fire a manager. Even so, a spokesman for Azoff insists no such problems exist. "We're in daily contact with Axl, and we look forward to continuing to support him and Guns N' Roses", his spokesman insisted.

It's only a few months since Azoff told Rolling Stone what a great relationship the pair had and how "exciting things" await. "Axl has been basically quiet, keeping out of the limelight for almost 15 years", he said. "People think they know him but they only really only know what has been said about him by questionable people. He is a good guy and often misunderstood - he is a professional who has worked very hard to build and maintain a high creative standard for Guns n' Roses, which I support. We have some exciting things in the works this year for G N' R, I'm looking forward to it". Don't hold your breath is Famethrowa's advice. It sounds like Axl would rather be on "The Apprentice" than onstage at Wembley.

Is this ment to be news??? He snapped in 1989, mainly due to years of childhood abuse and bible bashing parents his melodies are genius. Be nice to see the origional line up back together. Appitie For Destruction changed my life!!!

Axl has and always will be good at what he does, lets hope original line up will be back one day, they were all fantastic, i liked chinese democracy, and also liked Velvet Revolver - Kontraband and Libertad albums both good, but we never know what the future holds, lets hope Axl can pull things together and make a name for himself again, Good luck and best wishes to the man!

They will never get back together again cause of Axl's ego and pride! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I wish I could beat some sense in his head!
