Has Axl Gone Mad?

Rose's tempestuous relationship with Irving Azoff is said to have been tested by plans to re-promote Guns N' Roses' latest lame duck to the world. "Axl doesn't want anything to do with it. He won't come out of his house", a source told the New York Daily News. Which makes it rather difficult to push a record, let alone fire a manager. Even so, a spokesman for Azoff insists no such problems exist. "We're in daily contact with Axl, and we look forward to continuing to support him and Guns N' Roses", his spokesman insisted.
It's only a few months since Azoff told Rolling Stone what a great relationship the pair had and how "exciting things" await. "Axl has been basically quiet, keeping out of the limelight for almost 15 years", he said. "People think they know him but they only really only know what has been said about him by questionable people. He is a good guy and often misunderstood - he is a professional who has worked very hard to build and maintain a high creative standard for Guns n' Roses, which I support. We have some exciting things in the works this year for G N' R, I'm looking forward to it". Don't hold your breath is Famethrowa's advice. It sounds like Axl would rather be on "The Apprentice" than onstage at Wembley.
