The Lilyest Hobo

Posted Thu 18 Jun 2009 5:42PM BST by Johnny Famethrowa in Touching The Void
Could it be that the fickle, ruthless world of pop'n'roll is finally warming to Lily Allen? The promotional campaign behind her second album, "It's Not Me, It's You", has been refreshingly free of the daily abuse vomited on her rivals which blighted her 2005 breakthrough. Perhaps she's grown-up? Well with a guest star appearance on perennial teen, student and housewife's favourite "Neighbours" filmed and in the bag, it looks like we might all fall at her feet yet.

Particularly with the emergence today of a mash-up of her recent, C&W flavoured single "Not Fair" with Terry Bush's "Littlest Hobo" anthem "Maybe Tomorrow", a wistful little tune fondly remembered by everyone except those with a metal heart. The clip is entitled "The Lilyest Hobo" and can be seen below. Lily herself has already given the amusing clip the thumbs-up, calling it "GENIUS" in a Twitter posted today. All this being nice seems to suit her...
