Michael’s Lost Music

Posted Tue 30 Jun 2009 5:40PM BST by Johnny Famethrowa in Touching The Void
In life, rumour and speculation surrounded Michael Jackson like the endless legions of fans and scavenging press pack who swarmed around his every move for much of his life. In death, we can surely expect this to continue, perhaps with even more intensity, as has been suggested by reports that a completely new album will one day see the light. Today has brought further claims that the long-awaited follow-up to 2001's "Invincible" could eventually surface, featuring collaborations with some of contemporary music's biggest stars.

These are not the same batch of recordings - rumoured to total 100, according to biographer Ian Halperin - reportedly set aside as "a very personal legacy" to his three children. Amongst the contributors to the unnamed collection were Ne-Yo, will.i.am and Akon, who revealed in a recent interview: "It's incredible. We're trying something he's never done before, and that's the challenge. There's not too much Michael Jackson hasn't covered. Just be ready for it." Earlier this year, "Hold My Hand", a duet between Akon and Michael was leaked, which seems to suggest the music is far from over, despite the fallen idol's tragic passing...

some people really make their mark in history. Elvis, Princess Di, JFK, Lennon. We all knew where we were when they died. (Those of us who are old enough to remember!) Michael Jacksons legacy will live on for generations.
