Liam’s Gay Triumph

It is currently unclear what Liam makes of the news. Certainly in recent years, and in parallel with the emergence of the 21st century's era of ‘metrosexual' male culture, the singer has toned down his hard drinking and hard fighting image. He's a family man now, preferring a Sunday afternoon stroll with the missus on Hampstead Heath to a Saturday night on the tiles, chained to the mirror and the razorblade. But that's not to say he doesn't recognise the shift in his fanbase, who are now surely more impressed with the soft skin than ruined vocal chords.
Speaking recently about this new found status, Gallagher commented: "People who've got any soul will realise there's a day when you go home, put your feet up and cuddle your kids. But when you do show a bit of caring they call you a poof". His use of the word "poof" and general tone suggest a mild unease at this status, which is unfortunate. Particularly when you consider the dreamy video to the new Oasis single, Liam's-own "I'm Outta Time", in which he is captured hanging out with animals in the countryside in a lovely hat, all lost, sensitive and thoughful. There's not a punched photographer in sight...
