Jackson Jive "Racist" Outrage

The Michael Jackson news just keeps on coming. The difference here being it's got nothing to do with the deceased King of Pop. In fact, the latest drama took place many miles from his spiritual home of California. Because producers on an Australian TV show are caught-up in an engulfing furore after allowing a Jackson 5 "tribute" act to appear, outraging judge Harry Connick Jr and, we assume, many more the world over.

Bucking international awareness stretching back years, the Jackson Jive appeared with blacked-up faces in an act that visibly upset their guest, who awarded them zero stars. Host Daryl Somers was forced to apologise, while Connick Jr (pictured) pointed to the fact his nation have "spent so much time trying to not make black people look like buffoons", insisting: "If I knew that was going to be part of the show I definitely wouldn't have done it". Famethrowa doubts the programme makers have heard the last of this...

i think its dam right insulting to the king of pop and his family, thats not talent it just shows disrespect to a man who gave us some of the worlds unforgettable music. you should be ashamed of yourselves never have i seen anything in such bad taste, god rest Michael Jackson and your memory live on, whu=y you guys should make yourselves very scarce how can you face the world after that

I was sat with four Black people watching this, and they rolled all over the floor with laughter. It is us White folks that seem to lack a sense of humor, just why do we always have to tag racist with anything funny to do with ethnic races. We seem to make these things into problems where no problem exists. I have heard enough racist jokes by our diverse communities that they do not even think of as racist. Come on lighten up this is humor not racism.

I think its funny, they were having a laugh, and not hurting anyone. I used to love the Black and White Minstrels.

Seems you cant say or do "Anything" these days without offending "Someone"
